Switchback Sidelight and Indicator issue
« on: January 10, 2018, 11:39:50 am »
Hey Everyone,

So Ive wired up a LED Switchback Strip to my depo headlights but having a small issue.

When the car is switched on and sidelights are off and I use indicators, i get a small flash of the sidelight as well. Its intermittent and happens sometimes on passenger and sometimes on driver side as video below

But when the car is running and sidelights are on and I indicate they work perfectly fine

However when the car is switched off and I indicate, they work perfectly fine as in the video below:

Anyone know what the issue could be? I tested the strip many times with a 12v battery before fitting them to the headlights so I know the strip is ok. Its only when the car is switched on it causes an issue. Anyone good with electrics ? Would a load resistor sort this out?

I have no error lights on dash.

Thanks in advance :)

Doubt it bro, It was more of an experimental thing and first time I ever split headlights, wasnt completely happy with the way they were resealed with the original butyl seal so had to use sikaflex to reseal around any edges that had small gaps.

Im happy to guide you how to do it if you want to try yourself

Did you try a relay or inline resistors?
