« on: January 13, 2018, 12:25:36 pm »
Hi all ,

I’m getting a random exhaust pop every now and then . Seems to be once the cars up to temp and just done it once on a 30 min drive . I’m running a full milltek turbo back non res system . The plugs were done 3k ago .... coil pack going? Drives fine and no lights ect

What’s people’s thoughts ?

Thanks  :happy2:

Misfire.  If not spark related, probably a lazy injector.

Would that put a code on the ecu telling me what cylinder it is ?

I did possible suspect a injector also .... already bought some injector cleaner to run through but not expecting it to do much

Only if it's a persistent misfire.  Occasional popping won't be fault coded.  Mine started doing that a couple of years ago and then eventually it got to the point where the ECU flagged a misfire on cylinder 3.  Injector was on it's way out.

I’ll just keep an ear out then .... really is like once every 30-40 miles at the moment. It’s due a service in March so I’ll ask Jkm to look at it when they do the service , fit Loba, stage2+ it  :happy2:

Yes agree here - an injector  misfire. Mine did the same at idle after parking up for 10mins.
