Vw racing line panel filter

Hey dudes was thinking of getting vw racing line panel filter. Not after a performance gain I am stage 1 miltek sports cat rearr32 style on a mk5 gti pros n cons

In usual VWR fashion, you will likely find it is a rebranded pipercross / ITG etc with an extra sales margin.

Ok was wondering if there was any advantage to getting one

I found it sharpened spool up so suspect there is some better flow however fitting a GFB DV+ was more effective.

Not sure what dv valve is fitted on mine. Was wondering if the filter is as effective at keeping dust n grit out etc dudes

Nothing beats the standard paper for filtration, but if the top half of the airbox is clean, it's doing it's job.

Cool so is best to stick with the standard filter Or would a vw racing line filter help the car in any way dudes

Get the Pipercross dry foam filter.  It's cheap enough to experiment with and replace every year.  You might bag 10 peak hp at 2+ levels of tune, but stage 1 and stock you won't notice much, if anything.

Nice one dude did not think I would gain any power. Was wondering if it would be a plus for the car with out damaging it as the oem provides a certain protection then updated one

It's a rebranded ITG filter. You can buy both for the same price at Awesome GTI, for example. Just like the VWR intake, which is made by ITG as well.

I wouldn’t but the vwr panel filter if there intake is anything to go off it probably won’t fit 😂 I’d go for the pipecross one

I bought the ITG panel filter before buying the VWR intake. The panel filter fitted well, no issues. Unfortunately the OEM air box is restrictive so I had to change my intake to reach more HP.

Sound will a non oem course any issues with car. Ie any debris getting past filter dudes if so I would stick with oem filter

The ITG foam filter seemed to filter enough and no oil was sucked by the turbo to contaminate the MAF sensor. Changing the air filter is only needed for highly tuned engines. A stock filter can handle well stock power and more safely.
