How to replace broken floor clips for mats?
« on: February 09, 2018, 07:00:43 pm »
Hi there wonder if anyone can help. One of my caroet retainers broke that hold the mat into place. Ive sourced a new one but for the life of me cant remove the old one. Sorry it's hardly the most technical problem but wondered if anyones replaced and how did you remove?
Much thanks

Funnily enough, I was trying to put some new mats in the gf's MK4 and ran into the same problem.  Can't get the old style clips out.  Looks like they are secured into place at the factory rather than the newer screw in style, so will need cutting out with a junior hacksaw.  Maybe the MK5 is the same?
