ABS & ESP coming on
« on: April 12, 2018, 08:23:40 am »
Hi all,

A couple of days ago I was driving at 60mph and the ABS, ESP & tyre pressure lights all came up as yellow. Pulled over, turned the car off and on, and the ABS light is there on its own. As soon as I pull away it disappears, but the moment I hit 60 all three come back on. Have now done this 6 times over 2 days to triple check and it is the same every time.

Sound like a sensor fail or something more sinister? Guess I need to get the fault read - getting ready to sell the car and want it tip top.

Thanks

Wheel bearing/hub needs replacing (it's one unit). You'll need to get it scanned to determine what wheel is the problem. I had similar on mine. Swapped out the ABS sensor but the fault remained (all the warning lights you mentioned). Replaced the wheel bearing/ hub and problem solved.

I've also got this on mines. Had it scanned and came up with Right hand rear ABS sensor Intermittent. I fitted a new one cleared the code but it came straight back on after few minutes driving. My mechanic said it might be the ABS ring inside the hub but won't know for definite until he takes it all apart.
