Some thing like that

Today there was three mods completed.

Jay is close with coilies, Nath might be close with another mod that will be coming very soon and Mcavity  :indifferent:

As I have the ACC option I choose to go with some KW sport springs with around a 25mm drop.

To complement this I also added some KW adjustable front and rear anti roll bars.

And finally to help with the engine slop and off the line traction a VWR Fast road lower mount.

The results  :jumping: :jumping: :jumping: :jumping:  :driver: :driver: :driver: :driver: :driver:  :jumping: :jumping: :jumping: :jumping: :jumping:

Nope all is well with the ACC and no recoding required, you just can't go too low  :happy2:

So the comfort mode is still nice and smooth but sport is now really firmed up and handles better than my ED on the coilies  :driver:

Very well considered set of mods. However, personally I would definitely not have ticked the ACC option box in the first place.

I would have it no worries. When we had the test day with the professional driver we asked him to show us how this feature worked and it was an eye opener for sure he was doing 80 on a rough road then put it in comfort and was able to drive much faster.
Most people think you just put it in comfort on the motorways and sport for driving fast.
Not so.

Can anyone delete the last few comments. FWIW I thought Mcavity was just jesting and meant no malice.

Anyway, I agree with nousey. That video is definitely cool as f00k. I loved the rear lights on thr mk6 and the led ones are even more impressive. The best bit is the reverse cam!!! Can't wait to get it on my car.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

....That's very interesting. I reckon that not a single one of the VW showroom salespeople will say anything other than set Comfort for M'ways and Sport for driving fast.

Although I am not a professional I did do a lot of swapping between the ACC settings on both the Rocco and Mk6 GTI I drove and although I found Comfort very smooth as expected I simply preferred the harder feedback from Sport. I think I need to find out more about exactly what the ACC does. I'm a little cynical about what a professional hired to demo a car at a public launch has to say, but you were there and experienced it firsthand.

I'm thinking that SteveP will be aching to visit the Ring as soon as he can.
