massive thanks to redrobin and milltek
« on: February 10, 2010, 06:33:49 pm »
right to set the picture .

i have had a milltek tbe on my car since dec 05 and over the years the downpipe has broke a few times . milltek did cover the costs of repairs but sadly it broke again , and me being me didnt contact then again and just every now and again winged on the  forum about it .

now moving on to sat after helping robin out with his engine cover , we were chatting about things and my milltek came up . i then in turn  moaned about it and robin said he would have a word (by the way robin does not work for them but like to help everyone out with feedback on products and has a good relationship with them) .

and moving onto today i just had a phone call from phil at milltek (bloody nice chap) who is replacing my down pipe free of charge , and i learnt that back in 2007 milltek changed the design from mine to a more suitable design .

IM OVER THE FLIPPING MOON  :jumpmove:

ROBIN THANK YOU  :notworthy:

Echo that Gilly, same has happened for me today . My Downpipe ive bought second hand with a cracked exhaust flange is also being sent to them on friday to have a look at.

Never know may get a new one out of this, fortunatly Robin introduced me to Phil Millington at Autosports show and i asked him about sourcing a 2nd hand downpip/cat for phylis, he tried directing to me speak to some dealers, but having spoke to him today about my situation with my Ex Warranty pipe that seems to have identified, i may end up with a new downpipe/cat for my £250 spent.

Again Thanks Robin for your efforts. Fingers crossed for a possitive outcome.

If this comes off, remember to wear your sandles at the next forum Gathering . Ref our phone convo

Funny you should say that, my ED30 Milltek tailpipes have cracked around the tips after only 5 months  :sad1:
Spoke to Milltek yesterday and i've got to take it down to Awesome for them to have a look whereupon Milltek 'Will decide whether i have a warranty claim or not'... ???

That's not a great initial response but is probably most representative of their "normal" customer service.

The old saying of "it's not what you know, it's who you know" springs to mind.

The old saying of "it's not what you know, it's who you know" springs to mind.

....Yes, that's something I learnt many moons ago, probably at school, and which helped me throughout my business working life. It's even how I counted Harrods among my clients, Steve.

The thing is that this forum is a real community and we all help each other in many various ways whenever we can. If I can I help you guys and I also help the guys like Milltek who help me - We all help each other - It's called a Win-Win, no losers.

I know I'm not the only one here who derives a great pleasure from helping others.
