Advice required!
My golf boot wouldn't shut so a more car savvy friend recommenced we fit a new boot lock. We did and hey presto it worked! for about 5 mins!
We then inspected the wiring on the left hinge side of the boot and noted the wires were damaged. We covered the exposed wires. When we closed the boot i noticed it usually made 2 buzzes.. with the new motor (from ebay) the 2nd buzz took longer than the original... Then we closed the boot and no 2nd buzz and it wouldnt shut.
My friend then applied power to the new locking mech and it took power (we thought the amazon lock was bust).
It would really well for 15 mins! but the 2nd buzz does not work and we are back to square one.. My boot does not close.
I also noted that the boot open light hasn't come on the dash.
