a bit of a perfectionist
« on: February 13, 2010, 10:40:37 pm »
when i was washing my car to day i noticed the  bumper  under  the front lights was protuting 2mm more on the drivers side than the passenger side--i like them both to be exactly the same but some times i wish i wasn't so bloody fussy :rolleye: :signLOL:

If you are talking about the headlights sitting differently on the bumper and you want to know how to change them then, you can adjust them if you take of the grill (easy on my car with standard golf front unsure on the GTI). There is a little adjuster that will adjust how they sit.
I was the same and moved mine until they were perfect!

I know the feeling mate.
I got my lower bumper colour coded, and I never noticed before, there is a slight lip between the two, wish I had got it bonded as one now, so many little things, and so many annoyances.  :signLOL:

Is that with a normal golf bumper to like mine? In that case take the grill off (2x T25 torx bit i think might be T20 and 2 clips)
You will see this clip on the headlight:

Undo the torx bit slightly and spin the plastic nut one way or the other to get them sitting right and then retighten the torx.

Hope this helps
Ollie :happy2:
