Airbag light after removing headunit
« on: November 14, 2018, 10:04:33 am »
Hi guys.. first post lol

Mk5 GTI owner

Changed my headunit and the plastic trim around it and now have 'airbag fault'.

Had a quick look on internet and looks like I must of turned the ignition on whilst the passenger airbag indicator was unplugged...

I have a generic code reader which I will try tonight but didnt know if there is anyone who has a proper tool (vagcom I believe..) in the devon and cornwall area who can assist me?

I will gladly compensate for services provided, I just really dont want to go to VW in fear of the price they might charge

Not many generic code readers can access the airbag module.  You will probably need VCDS unfortunately.
