Replacement trim screws?
« on: February 22, 2019, 12:20:26 pm »
Has anyone easily replaced their trim screws for outside of the car?

There's loads of different sizes and lengths etc, so I don't fancy tracing the part numbers?

Is there some job lot or ebay listing you can just buy a shed load that will fit?

Particularly, i'm looking to replace the screws that hold the front bumper on, i.e. the mud guards under the wheels, etc..

Cheers

Edition 30 #1994 now sold. *cries*

I cant link this in but type into Ebay  'VW self tapper self tapping torx screw', they list coarse and fine, bags of ten about £9.
Also, 'audi vw seat skoda spire clip speed nut u clamp' you'll see what the rusty items on your car are meant to look like, £3.25 for ten.
Also, 'plastic screw grommet insert expanding nut 7mm x 7mm' again, these tend to look worse for wear after a few uses, £3.85 for ten.

I just removed mine, rubbed them down and then primed and painted them. Works a treat.

Yep, which reveals the part no. of N91160401.  It's a standard T20 screw which covers most of the car.  Arch liners, belly tray, interior panels etc etc.
