Come on Stealth!

I will do my best if I can weasel out of something else. Is it the one at the junction of the M42?

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

I can't believe I got screwed over by family today. Consequently couldn't go.

Hope it was good guys.

am back home!

dry day, bit windy so bit cold. Other than that was a good day out with plenty of cars on show.

Drag Strip was going well...think everyone got their fair share of runs.

Fastest when we left was Andy Waite's Mk1 doing a 9.9.

James H was 2nd in his Mk2 Golf or maybe Paul Jordan's Rocco. Can't remember.

Not too many Mk5 GTI's doing runs. GTIJames was ripping his up the strip all day, with a PD of 13.04. Soo close to getting into the 12's. Very consistent all day long.

Nick had a go and I think did mid to high 13's.

Good to see SteveP / Saint Steve + son / DomT / Greenouse / Markymark / GTIJames / Hedge / Wigit and couple of others.

Shame not many traders were there as plenty of punters were! busiest i've seen the show in last few years.

That sounds like mojo's car. I love the look of it too. I thought he had a resonated milltek? I'm sure he'll correct me thoug.

good day out all, nice to catch up with you everyone  :happy2:

did about 8 runs today and did not better my third run of the day which was 13.0477@ 112 (2.34 6oft) , did quite a few 13.1s and 13.2s and fastest trap speed was 113mph

wee bit disappointed i didnt make 12s but great fun trying

i think fastest mk5 was jabbalad who ran a 12.79  :notworthy:  though he only had one seat it in which was a race seat

anyhow till next time

GTI Edition 30 - Reflex Silver now gone but not forgotten - Cooper S JCW now.

Jesus! Hat's off to Jabbalad (even if he was on a diet). Awesome time!  :happy2: What mods has he got, can't remember?
I see a 12 in yours yet James, especially as there is a 1/10 or 2 that can come off that 60ft time mate. Think we need to have some duals at the next GTI Fest in July?     Will hopefully have intake, pump and Stage 2+ by then, so look out...
Have you got your ticket James? Would live to have a butchers to see how my 13.1 and your 13.1 compares..
