Need new stereo!

Hi folks,

So the rcd300 in my mk5 gti has given up! Any advice re a direct replacement, I'd like a touchscreen but has to be reasonable price wise. Cheap and cheerful basically! Thanks.

Rcd330 is plug and play (except for radio antenna you’ll need an adapter but they typically come with one) and is VW OE just in cheaper markets like China and Russia. I think I paid around £130 to get the apple play version. There are lots of threads so do a quick search to find out some more info.

Don’t have link anymore (seller doesn’t seem to exist anymore) but quickly looking on eBay for “RCD330 CarPlay” shows they’re about £170-200 now.

I did upgrade the canbus.

I did read somewhere that there is a an Canbus adapter ISO to quadlock cable which stops the battery drain but I don’t know for sure. Maybe someone can confirm that.
