Oil pump failure - new cambelt?
« on: December 20, 2019, 01:15:59 pm »
Hi, the lower chain driven oil pump sprocket has broken. I need a new oil pump and have just bought the VIS freewheeling sprocket to make the balance shafts redundant whilst the sump is off.

Removal of the old pump and fitting of the new will mean removal of the cambelt, can that cambelt be reused or do I need a new one?

I'd fit a new one, saves taking it all apart again if nothing else.
