Oil pressure warning.
« on: January 30, 2020, 09:53:12 am »
Morning all, wondering if anyone has shared a similar odd experience to what I’m having.

Had the “Stop! Oil pressure. Engine off! Owners manual” warning come on twice, once just over a month ago and once last week. No loud noises or rattles, no loss of power. Car still drives absolutely perfect.

Went into a local specialist yesterday and had the oil pick up pipe replaced and the sump cleaned, they told me the sump was pretty much spotless and there was no blockage in the pipe. Had it checked for oil leaks also and there was nothing found.

My next guess is just a faulty sensor or maybe my oil pump is slowly dying. Anybody else experienced this?

TIA!

Forgot to add that it’s a 57 plate BWA with 77k miles, always serviced and oil checked regularly.
