Although theres nothing particularly wrong with the box (HXW code i think) in my ED30 i was thinking of getting another low mileage box and having a play around with it. It seems most of the DSG boxes connected to a FWD 2.0 EA113 engine should physically fit if i'm correct. My question is, would a later Scirocco R or ED35 box (PQD code) also fit? Reading around it seems like it's quite important to get a matching box and Mechatronic unit. Theres a couple on ebay and it seems to be the best way to go to find a lower mileage one.
