Dash Heater Core
« on: February 10, 2020, 03:14:11 pm »
Dash Heater Core, I've lost all heat in the dash. my mechanic spend an age unblocking my coolant system and replaced a few bit and inclusding a coolant leak on the thermostat housing. He said it was on the verge of total failure, and took server flush cycles to get sll the sh*t out. but they never bothered there holes flushing the matrix like I originally asked. They said it most likely totally buggered up as the whole system was in really bad shape from someone using water in the coolant previously.

Asides from a reverse flush is it dash out job to replace the matrix, I've read conflicting reports that it can be done from under the foot well ?? anyone have a guide link please ??? The cores themselves see cheap enough to buy.

has your heating suddenly stopped? does your temp gauge exceed normal (90) ?

The core can be replaced without taking the dash out.
