Setting off is a bit brutal
« on: March 08, 2020, 01:30:12 am »
My gti it’s totally standard, but I’ve noticed that when the car is cold it sets off from standstill smoothly, however when It’s been running for 20-30 mins, it’s bloody horrible!! Hardly put any pressure on accelerator and it jerks forward or starts lurching. It’s so annoying! Tried different things like putting it in sport, letting it set off on its own but nothing works. The worst is when I’m on a hill, it doesn’t hold and rolls back then I gently accelerate and get whiplash. Can someone please advise/help as it’s getting unbearable.

What’s it like in reverse? had the same symptoms as above and it turned out to be the mechatronics unit in my case.
