k04 dv housing
« on: May 13, 2020, 06:22:52 pm »
The k04 064 compressor housing has the dv port blanked off. Has anybody milled out this location for a direct mounted dv like those found on the k03's?

Why? It's better to have the DV mounted as per the normal K04 setup.

Few reasons.

1: it doesn't cost me anything to mill it out.
2: removes extra charge piping volume to allow for faster boost response
3; charge air pressure is directed directly at the compressor wheel which helps keep the turbo spooled upon lifting the throttle, minimizing turbo lag.
