When you say "bang" how dramatic was this?
If it destroyed pistons, thrown a rod, smashed valves or simply wore out bearings you need to be very careful using anything taken over from old to the new engine that could be contaminated with debris.
Keep all the sensors from your existing engine together as they are known to be working.
It should just swap out, but its a good time to do housekeeping - Vital to clean out oil pick up, nice to de-carbon inlets, optional but good moral building to paint the block.
Lastly, afraid its more expense, but worth doing with engine out: new timing belt, new water pump, possibly crank seals, assuming its a manual look into clutch wear and also check the dual mass flywheel condition.
