Told it is just three 5mm Allen bolts. But you can only get to them from under the car.
Remember reading it's sooooo much easier if you have an Allen socket and ratchet.
Sent a pm to Garth asking if there are any tips before I start.
If it's not raining tomoz, may give it a go.
No Golf anymore.
Enjoyed the last five years of ownership of Mk5 & 6 GTIs.
Plus an excellent forum for knowledge and new ways to deplete the bank account.
Thank You Everyone.

Well, been a long wait and finally got my P&J sorted :driver:

The boys at VWR have done a fantastic job on the car - very pleased with the results.  Had to leave the car there for a week and was given a red demo car as a replacement, which honestly I didn't like at all at first but seemed to grow to it in the last couple of days.  Definately needs some TLC - this thing had dents, cracks and scratches everywhere - maybe they were there to improve the aerodynamics of the car :rolleye:

These are the mods fitted to my car:

VWR springs
VWR ARBs
VWR fast road lower engine mount
WALK
Rev D diverter valve
REVO remap to around 300bhp

When arriving and meeting Matt, he really took the time out to show me around the car and was very impressed how the car had turned out.  He seemed almost as excited as I was to get my hands behind the steering wheel - top bloke.  We chatted for a while then he handed my keys back to take the car for a spin

The car behaves exactly how I want it to!  The power delivery is so smooth and addictive, especially with the blueflame  feels like the exhaust note has changed especially when working through the gears.  Power delivery has same characteristics as stock but on a much higher level, with less wheel hop so the car is easily manageable.  The car is now flatter around the twisty turnys and turn in is more precise than before, springs have given a noticeably lower ride height and stiffened up the ride slightly, without any compromise on comfort - infact, i'd say it's probably more comfortable than before!  The car has undergone a complete transformation now, but it is still easily an everyday car - very pleased with the results and can appreciate each mod done to the car - Matt and the guys have really worked their magic.

Only thing I would say is that there is a slight issue with traction as the wheels do begin to spin when pressing on, and the brakes are still standard (and crap) so will be looking to fit an LSD and bigger brakes in the future.  Will also need to take the car on a rolling road to see exactly how many ponies are being minced and chewed up.  Anyone know of a place in the Midlands?

Overall, one very happy customer :happy2:
