I got them off eBay searching those part numbers. Cheapest at the time was from Germany even with postage but not sure if that is as easy or viable now.

I ordered my B12 Audi S6 kit from Germany (not knowing that was were the warehouse was placed) and then thinking I might have been hit by VAT and/or duties. I ended up not having to pay anything though as it was shipped as 2 parcels and they put £100 value for each parcel.

I do like the look of the b12 kit, demon tweeks have a few to fit the GTi but different prices and all labelled ‘b12 kit’ so unsure what the differences are! Albeit abit pricey fir a road car that will see occasional track use! Debating on the h&r cup kit, awesome has it for £580 atm! Anyone used it before?

Yes it's confusing.

B12 just means B8 dampers + some springs.

If you want ride comfort and mild lowering, you need a B12 'Pro' kit for a MK6 Golf.

If you just get a B12 kit for a MK5 GTI, you will get the B12 'Sportline' kit which is waaaaay harsher and lower.

The easiest way to spot the difference is:

Sportline = red springs @ -30 to -40mm lower than a GTI
Pro = black springs at -25 to 30mm lower than a non-GTI

Since non-GTIs are 10-15mm taller than a GTI, the final lowering of a GTI with Pro kit would be approx -10 to 15mm

Depends on your front axel weight. If it’s a dsg gti, or a manual/dsg eddy or Pirelli you’d need the front shocks up to 1130kg axel load weight from what I can make out from various suppliers. I have an ed30 so I ordered the same kit awesome have listed for a GTI at up to 1130 front axel weight. Not sure if it makes much difference but thought I’d follow the guidance!

I'm viewing an Eddy30 today that has been fitted with "Bilstein B12 Sportline with Eibach springs" Is this the harsher and lowerer kit that Pudding was referring too?

Apparently so, it’s a matter of opinion to be fair. What’s too stiff for one may be too soft for another.. see how you get on!

Eddy was a no no. Suspension was far to harsh and considering it was new it felt worst than my 141k original standard shocks with H&R 30mm lowering springs. Nasty ride, banged and crashed and as for potholes, fook me I nearly had a ruptured spleen!!! Also wasn’t presented well. Dirty, had rust, and albeit the owner had mentioned this in the ad, it wasn’t for me!

It may be fine for you bud, but driving my existing car with 141k old standard shocks, and 30mm H&R Lowering springs, felt better

I recently replaced my 180k old stock springs/dampers with Bilstein B4 and Eibach springs, plus did the usual ball joints, top mounts etc at the same time and also fitted front and rear Whiteline ARBs and tie rods. I now enjoy driving my car again, although I'd be interested in a set of springs that didn't drop the car, even the 20mm that these Eibach's do.

Yeah when I was looking into it they seem to match the standard shocks. A spring has definitely been replaced as one had been broken, but yeah it's a lot of miles for the originals. Just prefer the stock look, plus the Eibachs have lowered the back more than the front so I need to realign the headlights.
