Cold Air Intake on 2007 FSI as first mod to my MK5 GTI
« on: March 17, 2021, 01:11:01 pm »
I've just bought my first GTI. I am very very excited. I am having it go in for a carbon clean and injector recon soon and as a first mod I want to install an aftermarket CAI + tune done. I don't have the mula to put an exhaust system yet..
I am reading concerning things about aftermarket CAI's such as that the piping at the MAF sensor needs to be a certain diameter otherwise the vehicle's ECU will fault and you risk having your intake manifold busted..
Can someone please clarify this for me?
The piping for the aftermarket intake I ordered is 76mm in diameter. Is this ok?
Thanks in advance!
