CDL install
« on: March 18, 2021, 11:24:00 am »
Hi guys,

Ive been trying to do as much research on swapping a CDL into my mk5 gti and have found some good useful information but have a few more questions. Typing CDL and swap/conversion in the search brings up a lot of posts which I've spent weeks going through.
Is there anyone on here that has done a bit of a thread on their CDL swap? I havnt found one anyway.

So far I've found that the CDL will bolt straight up to the manual gearbox and to just use the existing MAP sensor on the new engine. And the g247 sensor. And a custom map by a reputable tuner.

Im just wondering will I need to get a custom loom from the turbo like you do when you do a k03-k04 conversion?
Do you think Im ready to go with the swap, all I have is the CDL complete engine. As far as I am aware, the complete engine is all it needs in terms of hardware. The CDL has had all necessary work done.

I appreciate your help in advance.
Thanks
