Gulfstream

Didn't you start off doing these? Did you sell the idea to Volksbits or did you just get copied?

I came up with the idea when wondering why VW had left a gaping chasm on the seat height adjuster. I,m quite handy on the autocad thing and program CNC's for a living so set about developing them.......When I started selling these about 2 months later I did a search and found a company selling them with the GTI stickered on instead of cut outs.I,m sure these guys were before me and seeing as my product was different was ok with what I was doing..I then noticed the plastic footrest.its a GTI where the hell is the metal. So did the same with that.As far as I,m aware OSIR were the only company doing them and it was a totally different design and no logo.Sent em out to guys on here for feedback and started selling them..
I now know that 3 companies have bought bulk from me,all different designs and bobs your mums brother are now selling them. One firm in OZ even has the cheek to advertise themselves as,innovative when clearly it was buy all his logos, scan and cut.But at least all the tw4ts left me good feedback..I hold no license on any of these products so it does,nt bother me but I know none of them will do me on quality or prompt action on non conformance.
I have since developed the golf R stuff, the guy is well pleased with it and the GTD.Also Denmark has a Gulf,s R20 doing the rounds. :driver:Plus the yanks and our nordic friends now have the LHD stuff for both the MKIV and the MKV and that took some developing.
All the VAG range is covered.... God I can go on.. :signLOL:

here you go, from my build thread:

Not really had time to play with the car, but started tinkering this weekend as the Mrs has given me the weekend off

First job was to fit the groovy new dead pedal cover i bought from gulfstream at Inters, i promised a couple of people a How-To guide so here we go

dont fear it, it's dead simple and should take no more than 10 mins

this is how we looked before:

With the clutch, brake and accelerator all getting the metal treatment it seems so natural for the dead pedal to follow suit and tidy things up

first step it to remove these 2 screw heads

dont go at it like a bull at a gate, they're only plastic and will shred easy so take your time  :happy2:

once out the whole panel is now free, if you look at the shot below you'll see it needs a gentle push upwards and then will pull towards you

I was tempted to markout the metal in place but its made so well theres no need to. next is the kit, it came supplied with fitting kit, and you will need a 5.5mm drill bit (5.5mm rather than 6mm as then you can drill through the plate and into the plastic ensuring accurate fit)

drill on slow speed with pressure and nothing will melt...like so...

all bolted up, socket on rear allen on front...

and installed into the car:

now pat yourself on the back for a job well done

Mate can you make a Pirelli badge ?!??!!??!!??!... for the seat adjuster bit ????

I bet you could sell a few of them at a nice price... i will pay a good amount if they're done right.

Also, can you make a Pirelli Badge for the Steering wheel like on this picture; http://www.netcarshow.com/volkswagen/2007-golf_gti_pirelli/800x600/wallpaper_09.htm
