Not really keen on sticking owt on my paintwork, so for what it's worth the Ring logo and the forum URL would be good for me! 
For what it's worth dude i only use very high quality vinyls (trying not to sound like a salesman here!
)
theres alot to choose from out there and i only buy the top of the range Avery vinyls - not as profitable for using for decals compared to cheap generic stuff but its bodywork safe 100%
the glues are well developed and wont harm your paint at all
that said, the same with any sort of vinyl, if its left on for years the paint around it can fade with UV and then where the vinyl sat will still be un affected so can damage it that way - the stuff i use is all UV resisitant
but you could leave it on for weeks mate and it would be fine.... did you not see the cheques on mine, had them on through the summer last year, heatwave an all, no worries
