Frankenturbo F23T KO4 turbo upgrade?

Hi guys,


I was wondering if anybody upgraded from ko3 turbo to F23T KO4 turbo? They sell them on eBay and I am tempted to buy it as apparently it’s bolt on I just need to change HPFP and injectors? I was wondering if anybody used that turbo before? And what do you guys think about that turbo?

Many here (US) with the F23T have found over the years the problem most face was the tuning for the F23T. There aren't many custom tuners here (until recently) and the box/shelf tuners were unwilling to work with Frankenturbo and provide them a tune. Some just tried the F23T with a K04 tune, but hopefully you'll receive some answers at the link.

Yeah mainly people in the USA use this turbo i dont think people in the UK use it?

Right, the F23T when tuned well should get the power near or between 375-400 bhp.
The HPFP upgrade...yes
In the thread, it appears, some kept the stock injectors and made it to 330-335 whp. Which would be near 375-380 bhp. Upgraded injectors would obviously allow tuning to eek out a bit more.

I wasn't aware it was a rebuilt/reworked K04 clone. Frankenturbo initially offered to rebuild your K04 and turn it into their F23T. But yeah, makes sense it is a transformed K04 clone...given its cost.
