Hi ,this is my first time on th3 forum ,looks like the best o e online ....I recently bought a my 5 so far so good I’m in Australia so th3 car has 130000 kms not miles and their was no record of cam follower change but extensive service history by one matur3 lady owner (realy) it has a stage o e tune and is in mint condition,she even used to buy brand new worn window switches etc ,,,I’m unsure about th3 cam follower thing I e just had it changed ,if I pit a pic up of the old one can you tell me if it was in ok shape ? Cheers ...

Post some pics mate! Mine didn't have the cam follower changed until about 85k and it was in OK shape, I've not known anyone personally to have severely damaged Cam followers to the point it causes major Cam shaft or fuel pump damage so I think it is more rare than it can appear when reading the horror stories but it is a weak spot and can happen so definitely pays to keep on top of it maintenance wise.

@Clarkj93 pretty much see wreaked cams everyday on the Facebook groups , mostly modified cars though

ne at 60k, then checked at 85, still like new.
