Getting stock intake pipe back on - please help!

Putting intake back to standard

Really struggling to get the first intake pipe back on!

I've tried putting the small rubber piece on first but can get the pipe over it

Also tried fitting the rubber piece to the pipe but again, can't get it on 

This is without struggling to do it whilst pliering the clamp open at the same time!
(As struggling, removed the clamp to try to figure it out)

Patience, gentle twisting left to right whilst pushing down onto pipe and some proper ratchet hose clamp pliers are your friend in this case. The first time you use hose clamp pliers you wonder why anyone bothers without them. £15 will buy you a good pair.

Managed to get it on; phew!

I put the rubber end in the intake pipe and pushed down whilst rotating clockwise (seemed to have screw type thread on the rubber part so gave it a go!)

I decided to use a screw hose clamp as allowed me to get it on then worry about securing it.  I almost bought a set of hose clamp pliers; I got the vag connector tool!

A jubilee clamp on the turbo inlet hose it's a classic sign it's been modified 

I wish I'd known that before I bought mine 

But yeah, that spring clamp is a complete swine due to it's location, even with proper pliers.
