Fitted the new dogbone today and it's made a huge difference. Much better shifting, especially going down through the gears. 4th to 2nd in particular always was a vague and inconsistent lottery, but it's very precise now. Zero increase in NVH (remarkable given it's a solid bush) and with rushed/clumsy gearshifts, the engine no longer feels like a randy Gibbon jumping around under there. I'd call that a win
As I've said before, if you have the blue VWR version of the Vibratechnics subframe mount, replace it with Vibratechnics own version.
Mine is so ancient, it predates the poly version and is simply a relabelled vibra.
Ah OK. Well I think you will have the same problem I faced today then. The upper bush's threaded insert parts company with the rubber. Worst case - you can't remove the bolt, or in my case, it came out OK but I couldn't torque the bolt back up again. It's probably only tightened to half what it should be. The threaded part just spins. I've had 2 of them go the same way. I'm not sure I can recommend VT any more. Pretty sh1t for a £150+ mount. I will feed it back to AKS Tuning to pass onto VT.
