battery going flat
« on: August 03, 2022, 09:15:11 am »
i bought a brand new yusa battery as my old one kept going flat, now this one does the same surely this cant be normal?
fully charged the battery will be completely flat in 2 days of not driving, thought batterys should last longer, my wee corolla hasnt been started in a week and it starts first time?

Somethings draining it most likely rather than the battery being at fault. Can't remember where to start to find out what exactly but tons of how-to's online about it being a fairly general and common fault some cars go through.

Have you changed the stereo recently?   Mk6 kit drains the battery in a mk5 without updated canbus

Have you plugged it into VCDS to see if any codes?

It could be a faulty canbus module not shutting down

was down lifting the golfr from the indi after doing intercooler software and downpipe, i mentioned to him about the drain and he asked if it had an upgraded stereo i sad yes, he then replied i bet they didnt change the canbus data, but as im selling the car and its not insured i think i will just leave it for the next owner and knock a few pound off
