Hi guys! So I have an 07 gti, BWA engine and it’s driving me insane. I feel like I have replaced the whole car over the past year of owning it. It’s done 140k miles, and have a long list of what I’ve replaced since then… I decided to get my plugged in to the proper VAGCOM instead of a snap on Modus and it comes up with low fuel pressure. I don’t have any EMLs on and never have done. It intermittently has a lumpy idle, and during the summer it was really didn’t like to start after leaving it over night. I keep reading about cleaning the valves but is this really something that will make a difference? I have had the manifold off to clean the injectors. I haven’t tested them but using a stethoscope you can hear each one clicking evenly.. Now maybe they just haven’t sealed back up properly? I’ve ordered some new seal kits for them but I don’t really want to spend £130 X 4 for all injectors 😅😅it is making me want to sell the car as I can’t keep throwing money at it, as much as it pains me to say.
Here are the things that I have replaced and include some mods:
Cam follower
Pcv valve
Carbon canister
Purge valve
Dump valve
Ac condenser
2x Pirelli front tyres
Ngk iridium spark plugs
Whole front cross member
Injectors and inlet manifold cleaned
Stage 1 MAP
Boost gauge
New fuel rail pressure sensor
New fuel pressure sensor
New Hella low pressure fuel pump
New hitachi high pressure fuel pump
Both front drop links replaced
Cambelt and water pump
Fuel filter
Recent oil change
Red LED footwell lights
Ram air induction kit
All vacuum lines replaced with reinforced hoses
New MAF sensor
New camshaft sensor (Bosch)
New crankshaft sensor (Bosch)
Always filled up with Super Unleaded
All of this is either Bosch, Hella, Hitachi, Delphi and NGK.
Any help would great! Thanks 😉
