Hello from a new member in europe
« on: November 15, 2022, 01:54:49 pm »
Hi guys,

Just dropping in to introduce myself and my new to me red 3dr from 2005.

The car was just imported from germany with 105k miles and seems to be in fairly decent condition considering its age.

With that being said i just found signs of rust under the kickplates on the sills, which is unsuprising but a bit dissapointing.

At the beginning of the year it had a suspension refresh and some other service maintance along with a performance’ backbox fitted.

This is my first ‘performace car’ and im already in love.

Next steps are a visit to my local vw garage to have a mechanical once over, and to get the dsg serviced.

Then probably a visit to a bodyshop to get the skirts and rear bumper color coded to match and possibly getting the sills done  :sad1:

I also just nabbed a set of used superlight sl2 in 18x8 et45 so they will be on shorty.

Anyway, a few pics i guess

Thanks guys,

Yeah I think color coding will make a huge difference, I was also considering a front splitter / rear diffuser, but I can only see r32 style rear diffusers and I want to keep my current exhaust, so maybe I'll get that area on the current bumper painted gloss black.
