Hi, i’ve been trying to figure out Where this noise is coming from. It’s loud and high-pitched.
The noise disappears when letting off throttle, and it also disappears on full throttle.
The noise only appears after 3.000 rpm and up. Car is running fine, and according to OBDEleven datalog, is receiving the boost it’s requesting.
Car also squeaks and holds revs sometimes when revving it at standstill.
Car has new PCV and Cam follower.
This YouTube video is the only other example of the same noise, and he says that it’s the relief valve/return valve.
I’ve attached a video of my car. The noise to listen for is a high pitched whistle like noise. The noise is much louder in real life. I had to hold my phone to my ear and turn the volume all the way up to hear it. Mk5 gti noise
