What springs are they Simon and whats the part number? Eibach Sportlines use the same springs for DSG and Manual.

They make two types of spring , for DSG and manual. The DSG gearbox is heavier than a manual box hence the DSG springs are designed for a hevier car.

The springs I have are part number E20-85-014-02-22.

When I was first searching for Eibach springs for my DSG and Romany's manual, I too thought manual and DSG use different ones but after a bit of research it seems like they use the same springs. Both of us have exactly the same springs fitted, same part numbers, I think I might try and take some photos to show if there are any differences between our cars.

You should just fit them to your golf, they'll be fine!

There was a bit of a debate whether different Eibach Sportline springs should be used for manual and DSG golfs due to the DSG gearbox making the front end of the car heavier. I thought I'd try and take some pics to show the stance of both cars (one manual, one DSG) on the same Eibach Sportline springs. I think the drop of them both look the same...











My wheels fill the arches a bit better so may look like it's lower in the last pic, but it's not.

Got round to fitting my DSG paddles today... (not very good with the camera, sorry)







It was a bit of a rush job, but they haven't fallen off... yet.
