do any of you guys know who supplies the AP Pro 5000 brake kits? im having serious issues getting my brembo stage 1 kit fitted under the pescaras. in fact so serious, they just wont fit.

thanks, im going to have another crack at getting them on, this time with a 10mm spacer recommended by brembo supplier. if that doesnt work, il be sending them back.

How much damage do these do to the wallet? Took my car for its service and was told needed to replace brakes and discs within the next 6 months, so want to make sure I have the cash ready for a good setup.

I am searching for information for my brake upgrade because I would like to actually have brakes when I go to the track :D. I am tracking to Nurburgring and Hungaroring and I would like to have proper braking.

P.S. I only have ~160 bhp, but I need better brakes and the R32 setup is not an issue because of the weight.

I just wonder how much better can a setup like this be over the R32 one wich I already have (front+rear). R32 brakes have already brought a huge improvement and due to the power of my car I can't really feel the extra weight (I will try to measure the disc and caliper sometime) !

very surprising to hear you couldn't feel the extra weight...i drove my friend's gti on my favourite back roads with the r32 front/rear conversion and knew immediately it wasn't the route i wanted to take.

i certainly do NOT want added weight in this department.

These are unsprung masses. In case of the rotor it's also rotational mass (like the wheels are).
Try a google search.

You'll also clearly feel the difference between stock Detroit/Monza wheels and a set of OZ Allegeritas.

AP Brakes are just simply amazing you need to have owned a set after coming from a set of oem brakes

the faster you go the quicker they stop you and you literally do not have to touch the pedal any harder doing 130+ or 30mph.. thats how it really feels

anyway there worth 2k+ just for the look of them behind some track wheels  :laugh:

my 2nd kit should be here in 2weeks cant wait :smiley:
