Don't let any woman hassle you, Joe! If you want to sell your car and buy a house with your missus that's fine, but it's gotta be because YOU want it just as much as she does. If you're unsure, then walk away from that particular missus. Plenty of fish in the sea and you're still very young.

My ex was saying similiar things when I had the Golf.. So I sold her (and the car) and got a TTRS.. Never been happier

You will know when the time is right to sell the golf and get a house, and its not when she has nagged you enough.
All of my girlfriends have always understood from the outset that they will never have a say when it comes to my cars either lol
edit - just read the rest of the thread, my missus would probably moan at me if I wrote that reason for selling the car for the same reasons as robin has said.
