There's a certain amount of functional overlap between my Novation hardware controller, very specialised Apps on the iPad, the Mac qwerty keyboard, and the TrackPad. But they each do things slightly differently and one method will suit editing a setting better than one of the others. Also, it does reduce the work of the cursor. It's part of fluid workflow.

None of it guarantees my music is any better but it's all part of having fun.
