Big box waiting for me when I got home and found this puppy, a Hobbyzone Super Cub with something called "Anti Crash Technology" (will be putting that to the test!)! Never flown one of these before so it could all end before it begins. 1200mm wingspan

Interested to know how you get on with this.  I've fancied a plane or a helicopter for a while but it's a lot of moolah if they drop out of the sky!!

It's not easy. Ideally you start with something slow and inexpensive boys.

No point in running before you can walk.

Me and my Dad used to have 2 4ft petrol engined boats that were pretty impressive. One cabin cruiser and the other an offshore V-hulled powerboat. They were proper fast. 40-50 mph.

A very wealthy friend of mine bought an Italian model of a Jetranger helicopter with a 5ft wingspan (bladespan?). It was so difficult to fly that he had real helicopter flying lessons. About a year later he bought an actual Jetranger! I designed the livery for the real one but wanted to dress up the model as a pretend giant Bumble Bee to buzz people having picnics etc
