In my youth, about 50 years ago, we wandered around the fields with airguns and/or a 12-bore without much concern for legalities as I think that the law was much freer in those days.

If it wasn't now illegal I'd be replacing my catapult with an airgun to get the message over to certain feral four-legged trespassers in my garden.

Not True ... Children (5/6 years) sometimes pick up guns belonging to their parents and pull the trigger

Good job it is illegal then. If I caught anyone shooting cats with an air rifle I would turn them into pulp. I do believe that's illegal as well, for a reason.

Oops maybe I shouldn't have put that picture up.

For the record children shooting using the gun wouldn't happen, I keep my rifles Locked in a steel safe with ammo stored in a different safe and the bolts in another, you would need 3 sets of keys to get the bits required to fire a shot.


Oh and for the record shooting cats with a catapult or anything else is against the law, and if anybody we're to do it to my cat I would be round to return the favor

....Don't worry, I'm a lousy shot with a catapult. I think a powerful water pistol might be more effective.  - Surely a water pistol isn't illegal?
