Railway museum is alright. Went there last year but you will do it in an hour or so.

grew up and went to school in york, nice place!

x2 with rail museum, much better than york dungeons  :happy2:

if the weather's nice then you can't beat a nice strole through the cobbled streets, have a gander in york minster and finish off with a few beers sat in the kings arms on the river, sam smiths pub so nice and cheap  :drinking:
GTI Edition 30 - Reflex Silver now gone but not forgotten - Cooper S JCW now.

I ate in a pub there a couple of years ago. Did the most fantastic Sausage and Mash. Can't remember the name of it though  :ashamed:

Jim Garraghys Fudge Kitchen is quite amusing for 30 mins or so.

Me and AM went to York Dungeons last year.

I thought it was alright but we had a voucher for pay for 1 Adult and 1 gets in free.

I think I went to the same pub as Ian did but again can't remember the name of it. I had the saus n mash as well :happy2:

been years since i last went to the dungeons so might have improved but i remember it was pretty brief.. in and out in 1/2 hr

museum gardens are nice if weather is good, cliffords tower always an option.

If you like big country estates then you have Beningborough Hall out towards Newton on Ouse, about a 20 minute drive up the A19, its a national trust property lovely gardens and then you can stop off at the Dawnay Arms in Newton for a spot of lunch, nice beer garden by the river and good scram

your also not far from Linton-on-Ouse RAF base if your into planes

GTI Edition 30 - Reflex Silver now gone but not forgotten - Cooper S JCW now.
