i have a 54 plate 2.0 gttdi mk 5 golf=does any body know if the hub size where the shocker goes is 50 or 55mm on the front

there doesn't seem to be any hard and fast rules as to which cars have what diameter struts, i.e model and year etc. I was told this by a couple of tuners when ordering parts for my golfs, I was adviced the best thing to do is measure what you have fitted

yeah i think i will have to measure it,don't want to get to awesome & find they are different diameter

Al at Awesome said that 90% of MK5s were 55mm, easiest way is to get a piece of string around the shocker body, then measure then divide by pi.

I've been told that to, that most mk5's are 55mm but its probably best to check what you have
