Service indicator

Hi does anyone know how to check how many miles to next service
using the dash instruments. Got a 2005 gti

get in the car, close the door, put on your seat belt, turn on the ignition without starting the car, keep the milage reset button depressed and time and distance to next service should be displayed in the mfd.
Without traction power is nothing!
