Headlight concern
« on: July 02, 2010, 09:49:17 pm »
Hi guys
followed SWMBO and her mk4 home in the mk5 and she complained my headlights very really bright and were blinding in her rear view mirror. Iv also noticed that quite often cars in front either adjust their mirrors or a passenger turns around. Are my beams too high?
Can I adjust them or does it mean trip to a techy?
Thanks in advance

Are they Bi-xenon? If not you can change the level, it's near the headlight switch. Goes from 3 (being the lowest) to 0. I have mine on 0 for my benefit but nobody flashes me. What type of bulb are you using?

Do you have retrofitted xenons?

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

They were already fitted to car when I bought it so not sure if they retro fitted. And not bi's if that means I would have a switch. For them.
Think I'll have to get them looked at it's service due next month.
Thanks guys, was hoping it was a simples but nothing ever is with me lol.
