Could never have a BC, I decided early on never to have a dog that was cleverer than I was....

Are they really that switched on? I know they need a load of walking

Well mine can open all the doors in the house. Which can be a pain in the winter..

Barney knows how to open the dog food cupboard and get his treats, so had to move them to a different room !

Suprisingly he doesn't bother with cupboard doors, it's mainly the back door. Came home from a night out on the ale a few weeks ago and forgot to lock the door before I went to bed (suprised I found the right house never mind locked the door). Came down in the morning to find the back French doors wide open for good knows how long. Laptop on the settee, mobile and wallet in full view too.  
So, if there's any scallys on here, just look out for me on a night out, follow me home, wait for the dog to let you in and help yourself..

Yeah, we are lucky ! I work from home a lot and when i am out we have a dog walker !

Before you all start shooting me down, he is well cheap and for a dog that needs 12 miles exercise a day I would call it a necessity !!!

Buy a Weimaraner pay the price for the rest of your life ! It is the best diet in the world ! we do sooooo much exercise !

Yeah first one is !!! He has been trained to live with two cats but still loves chasing ! just wont bring them back like most weims !

Britishlion, Great dogs you have there. I would really love to have a Weimaraner. I once saw one in a trendy clothes shop in Leeds, and it was just sat there...frozen! I had to double check to see if it was real! He looked like an oil painting! just beautiful!!!

Thanks monte ! They are the most incredible dogs ! He has his moments but he was just so trainable ! When we are out walking he will only run off with other dogs if I tell him it is ok ! Just barmy how loyal they are !! If you ever think about it just get one you will not regret it !! Yes they take lots of excercise , yes they try to steal all your food ! Yes they can be a pain ! But there loyalty to owner and family is unquestionable ! I'm actually thinking about getting another one ! And a barbour jacket and pipe !!!!!
