Car:-Seat Leon Cupra R (mk2)

Tuner/stage/settings:-Big Fish tuning/stage 1/unknown settings

Modifications:- None really

Type of dyno/operator:-vtech dyno/Big fish tuning

Misc:- standard map was running +5.3deg timing advance which I believe was holding the car back slightly,

Never used Dropbox before so hopefully the graph works

It seems my maf readings are not showing correct power. It shows around 300 bhp.  I tried with other 300, 330 bhp cars (also manual gearbox) and my engine must have around 330ish bhp. I have twintake. Strange , because other cars with same inlet, showed correct power on maf

Mk5 Golf GTI Edition 30 DSG
MB Power custom remap

Engine mods:
  • ITG Profilter panel filter (WB586)
  • OEM airbox lower face insulated with heat insulation tape
  • Darkside Developments S3 uprated IC with alloy end tanks and silicone boost hoses
  • NGK Iridium BKR7EIX spark plugs
  • R8 red ignition coil pack set
  • LOBA's HPFP
  • RS4 fuel pressure regulator valve
  • CTS Turbo intake manifold runner flap delete kit
  • CTS Turbo throttle pipe
  • CTS Turbo turbo outlet pipe
  • Forge Motorsport oil catch tank system for vehicles with charcoal filter (FMMK5CTC)
  • Creations Motorsport Exhaust manifold heat shield
  • BCS Powervalve TBE Prestige system with 200 cell cat and wrapped DP
  • Vibra-Technics bottom engine mount/Subframe mount (VAG520M)
  • Vibra-Technics dogbone mount (VAG455B)
  • DSG remap to allow more torque

It now has 330 BHP and 457 Nm/337 lbf*ft, with 1,5 bar of peak boost and 1,4 bar of stable boost.

The numbers seem to be similar to other tuners stage 2. I'm waiting for a map more like a stage 2+. Not sure if the lack of a CAI will hinder my desire. For this level of tune the OEM airbox is enough.

It is a flying machine - weighing only 900kg - the tuner could of got more power out of it but we think it is suffering from valve float, it is ok at this level though.
cheers

That'd be quick with half the power. Think my next car might have to be something rwd and light. As good as the mk5 gti is, it's still limited by its front drive, and it's not exactly light!

RPM Power Engine Management custom remap

Engine mods:
  • VW Racing cold air intake (VWR12G5GT)
  • Darkside Developments S3 uprated IC with alloy end tanks and silicone boost hoses
  • Go Fast Bits DV+
  • NGK Iridium BKR7EIX spark plugs
  • R8 red ignition coil pack set
  • LOBA's HPFP

  • Vibra-Technics dogbone mount (VAG455B)

It made 367 BHP and 499 Nm/368 lbf*ft.

This is a graph comparing the WHP difference between the previous tune (red) with the CAI fitted and 345 BHP with the current tune (blue).

It's now much faster at mid range rpm than before.
