Thanks for you help guys -I contacted the seller again whilst this thread has been going and is insisting its been upgraded (As you'd expect) and has offered to take it back if im that unsure about it all.

So its gonna go back as im def not confident its what its meant to be.

how much did you pay for it. Has he any receipts or info of who he bought it from? If he got it from a reputable tuner or site, or had it fitted by a reputable tuner such as AMD etc they could always confirm!

Apr don't sell internals? Or upgrade pumps? I thought they only sold the entire unit??

They do a trade in service i believe, you can buy outright, or trade in for a upgrade.  :happy2:

It's not a trade in.

They take your pump from you, inspect it, completely strip it down and then rebuild it using their uprated internals.

as TC says 2 options

brand new pump with APR internals

or exchange service for a complete rebuilt pump using APR internals

as far as I'm aware its not your pump but a previously exchanged item

yes but is that for the American domestic market, seems a long way to send a fuel pump for rebuild????

iirc UK pumps get sent to APR Europe who do the same thing.

I could be wrong though and they may send them back to the US.
