You seem to be forgetting that black is just an absence of light and that white is just an absence of colour (or lack of imagination imho)  :P

Yes, and lots of others have been complaining on Gif's. Rich removed his recently with peeps complaining with this issue.

My screen will not scroll down the page with large GIF's and almost locks up me reading a thread.
