Windscreen crack/chip

Noticed it today , however it wasn't there this morning , if anyone has experience in this side of the trade , can it be repaired ? was reading if you can cover it with a £2 coin then it can , however mine also has cracks either end  :erm: also can anyone recommend a company that wont break the bank , cheers

is that a crack stemming away from it? if so id say its not repairable to be hones

how do you mean stemming away ? i also red that if the crack can be covered by a credit card then it can be repaired , which it can at either end  :scared: dont fancy going through insurance

are you not covered for the screen ?, it wont affect your no claims if you claim

Tbh i'm not sure lol its through adrian flux , i'll check my paperwork

EDIT* It says policy excess - £75 - windscreen and are in addition to other excesses shown on attached sheet which says drivers aged 17-20 - £350  :scared: is that just for accident damage

Yeah been told that by a few folk now  :sad: at least its only £75 to get it replaced

defo new windscreen,

when i was 17 i had a mk3, the window got chipped and i went on the motorway, doing about xxxmph and the whole whindow cracked right accross  :scared: sh*t my self

I just had a stone hit my screen this morning, got straight onto the phone with the insurance and by the time I was home there was a guy from Auto-glass waiting for me, fixed it in 20mins. No money. Job done  :happy2:

Just a wee update , its getting replaced on saturday  :grin: , didn't fone the insurance as autoglass contact them an do all the paperwork ect  :jumpmove:

Windscreens give a lot of structure to a car, well worth getting any craps/chips repaired.

I had mine done recently - excess seem to go from £50 - £75, mine was £60.
