Reverse camera basics

Hi guys just had my rvc fitted so just trying to get to grips with the basics. Firstly, I'm guessing the two lines running up 90 degrees from the bottom of the rns represent the width of the vehicle? Also the lines that run across parralel to the bottom of the rns represent distances away from the obstacle, if so what are these distances? It's just hard trying to judge how far iam away from an obstacle! Finally how can I get the display to fill the whole screen? Because at the minute there is a strip running along the bottom and right hand side of the screen with 'screen adjust'. Thanks for your help and sorry for the simple qs!

What I did with mine was play around back up to a wall. Spent about 10 minutes backing up, and getting out and seeing how close I was un relation to the lines. Well worth it ;)

Best way to work out where you are with the reverse camera is to just put obstacles near your bumper on the sides and the rear, this way you know how far things are from you in comparison to the image

Yes mate that's like mine. Apart from the right hand side which is filled in with yellow rather than transparent

I am 99% sure that it's because your running a early version of firmware which I believe from Darren is to avoid the battery drain issue.

On the 26xx + firmware you get the full screen view like 182 has posted up first :happy2:

yeh thats what i thought, its why i asked him what firmware he had, i guess he has the one where the bars bend as you turn ?

It was really wierd cos we couldn't get the camera to activate at first although it was working,  I thought it was down to the f/w has Ian is only running f/w 1100 but Ian let me know when he was on his way home he had to put it in reverse and the camera came on??

It took a bit longer cos of that dreaded rear panel but it worked out a nice clean job thanks for being patient Ian :happy2:

Hi guys, I've just spoke to Darren and he says Iam running earlier firmware in order to stop battery drain issues. Which is for the best I think!
